BumbleBee's Cafe Blue Ridge

The food here was very good and inexpensive - the pancakes were delicious and are a personal favorite. Our waitress was polite, but reserved. It may be a small grievance, but none of the staff told us their names and no one wore any name tags, which made the experience feel a little less personal. Overall a good experience with just some small bumps that could be easily fixed.

Cute spot. Decorations were pretty and atmosphere was cozy. Busy, but no wait and plenty of seating. My meal was cooked well and nice to see cinnamon raisin toast. There was limited table interaction that allowed for our drinks to go unfilled. Staff was pleasent and welcoming.

We just had bumblebee’s cafe cater our breakfast for our wedding weekend - Jessica was so easy to communicate with and was so helpful and prompt. Food was delivered and SO delicious!!! Really took the stress out of worrying about breakfast in the mornings. The breakfast charcuterie for our wedding morning was so pretty and yummy!!! Consider them for catering- you won’t be disappointed!

Popped in for some lunch and was not disappointed! I had the tenders with fries and my bf had the Philly with fries. Both were delicious. Would eat here again.

We came here for a late breakfast and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh, came out quickly and so good. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant is what you would hope to see in a nice Blue Ridge town. We were visiting from Florida and our waitress took time to tell us of some local spots to check while we were here.

The pros: The banana nut pancakes were cooked just perfectly. I also like the Bee motif. The staff were friendly. The negative: From the time I got seated until the time I got my food was approximately 45 minutes. This is an extremely long time to wait for food. It is a small café and they were busy, however, my expectation because being in a tourist town and already knowing the popularity of the restaurant, I assumed they would have their staffing in order in order to handle people. I was by myself, so there was not a lot of food ordered or service requests. Of course, I have eaten out often, and basically raised in a restaurant with my mom who was the manager, I saw some things that could be improved with the service. My server, although she was friendly, didn’t seem to know how to stagger the service among her tables. After I sat down, she dealt with three other tables. Bringing them their food, giving them refills, taking new orders, doing all of this before coming to take my drink or food order. Then, after taking my order, there was a very long wait for pancakes and fries. I think this could be solved with better training for the server to know how to stagger out her tables when busy. Plus she never refilled my empty drink. Regardless I certainly will visit again. The food was good overall.

From the moment we stepped into Bumblebee’s Cafe, I knew we were in for a treat. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee immediately made me feel at home. I opted for the mouthwatering country fried steak with two eggs which were cooked to perfection, while my wife savored every bite of the scrumptious banana nut pancake. Each dish was prepared with care. Bumblebee’s has something to satisfy everyone. I can’t wait to visit again and indulge in more of their delightful offerings. Highly recommend!”
